Hi there! Welcome to my site. Curious about who I am?
Thank you for paying me a visit! If you haven’t already read about what Blissful Bohemian is, you can do so here.
It is my deepest aspiration to bring YOU, dear reader, nothing but original, quality content. I want you to share with you my mental library of information about all things sustainable fitness, holistic health, and natural beauty.
I believe that inspiration and motivation is CONTAGIOUS and it is my mission to spread the wealth! I want nothing more in this life than to empower and educate others on how capable they are of success and being their best selves. Health, fitness, and beauty are just some of the spectacular ways to get there.
A little bit about myself:
I have been an AFAA certified personal trainer since 2014. I have experience teaching spin, yoga, pilates, and one-on-one training. For me, fitness is much more than having abs or sculpted hamstrings. Fitness is a form of self respect, self discipline, and self love. I exercise to practice mindfulness and prove to myself that I’m capable of so much more than I think.
I am very much “in my head”, always thinking. Exercise makes you feel your body. It makes you pay attention. Fitness is how I ground myself. This is what I look like most of the time… pretty stoic, mostly because I’m always turning new idea in my head.
My birthday is September 19, which makes me a Virgo-Libra cusp, and my MBTI personality type is the ever elusive INFJ.
I have lived in Florida most all of my life, and I absolutely love sunshine. I graduated in May of 2016 with my Bachelors of Science in chemical engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL. I got started in this degree because of my grand interest in cosmetic formulation, and wanting to create products that are natural and safe for the environment.
Health is something else that I value deeply. I was born with a very defective heart, but my parents never told me to take it easy, because they knew I always wanted to push my limits. I have had 11 heart surgeries due to a congenital (from birth) defect called Tetralogy of Fallot.
Today, at the age of 22, I run a sub-eight minute mile. I am very grateful to be alive and healthy, which is one of the reasons that I do not take this health that I was gifted with for granted.
The only boundaries that exist are the ones that we set for ourselves. Every day when I go to the gym, I seek to push those boundaries, because I know I am so much stronger than I think I am. This is the same mentality that I am so passionate about sharing with my clientele.
I am obsessed with my cat, Eleanor (Ellie). She is a gorgeous calico, weighing only 6 lbs full grown (though she is looking pudgier from the tuna we give her these days). I make sure that her beauty regimen and diet is like mine: as natural and chemical-free as possible! Here’s a darling photo of Ellie and me in the car. She is one of the things that makes my complacent face turn into a smile!
So that about sums up a brief overview of myself. Hopefully now, I can get to know you!
